1. Objective

Damco Award Program is our way to say, you are our Rockstar.

It is one of the medium to recognize and applaud your noteworthy contributions, exceptional customer service, exemplary performance on a project or special initiative, and activities above and beyond the job responsibilities.

2. Award Categories

Damco Awards are given under six (6) categories.

  1. A. Management/CEO Special Award
    • Management/CEO Special Award is the unique award from the CEO.

      It is reserved for the most versatile, proficient employee of the organization who exceeds the standard of excellence, demonstrates sustained achievement, and shows extraordinary commitment towards work and organization. This person carries professional demeanor with a notable contribution in the achievement of the business objective of the Organization.

    • a. Eligibility
    • All Employees across the organization.
    • b. Nomination and Selection Criteria
    • Management/CEO will shortlist an employee with the following criteria:
      1. Annual Review rating is “Excellent/Exceptional".
      2. Exceeds standard of excellence in the achievement of the business objectives.
      3. Exhibits long-term commitment and loyalty and act as a role model for employees.
      4. Always demonstrate trust and respect to organizational values and prove strong work ethics.
      5. A very receptive, enthusiastic and confident person with positive and never let you down attitude who proactively embraces all organization initiatives.
  2. B. Success Story of the Year Award
    • This award is especially reserved for department, team, project or special workforce who have created their success story.
    • a. Eligibility
    • All Departments, Teams, Project Teams or Special Workforce Teams across the Organization.
    • b. Nomination Criteria
    • Division/Department/Function Head will nominate any department, project or special workforce for creating the distinguished success story by way of achieving difficult delivery/winning mega project/accomplishing any extra-ordinary assignment which has resulted into growth and business of the organization.

      Any regular expected assignment with no remarkable value or contribution will not be considered towards the award.

  3. C. Long Standing Service Award
    • This award is given on continuous long-standing dedicated service of ten/fifteen/twenty years.
    • a. Eligibility
    • All Employees across the Organization.
    • b. Nomination Criteria
    • The nomination will be driven through the system on the milestone achievement of the said number of years.
  4. D. Performance Excellence Award
    • Performance Excellence Award recognizes the employees delivering consistent & exceptional performance throughout the year while meeting business objectives and living the core values.
    • a. Eligibility
    • All Departments which follow the formal appraisal process.
    • b. Nomination Criteria
    • All the performers across the organization with the outcome of Annual Review rating as “Excellent/Exceptional".
  5. E. Excellence in Customer Satisfaction Award
    • Excellence in Customer Satisfaction Award recognizes the employees who drive consistent customer delight resulting in increased business growth, project expansion, and enhanced customer engagement and trust.
    • a. Eligibility
    • All Profit Centre Departments.
    • b. Nomination Criteria
    • The nominee should fulfill any one of the following nomination criteria towards Customer Focus Award:
      1. Significant contribution to the growth of the Account, drive long-term business relationship and organization reputation.
      2. Consistently ensure a high level of client service and on time, on budget and quality delivery of a challenging project / assignment.
      3. Demonstrate agility and efficiency in rapidly responding and adapting to customer needs / change requests and convert it into new business.
      4. Confidently, consistently and promptly deal with the demanding/difficult customer by completely owning the effective win-win resolution in a calm, positive & sensitive manner.
      5. Engage in proactive communication, prompt follow-through. Keeping customers involved and satisfied at all times by meeting and exceeding all the customer service expectations and receive constant customer appreciation.
  6. F. Special Contribution in Business Success Award
    • The Special Contribution in Business Success Award is dedicated to recognizing distinguished demonstration of high adaptability, continuous commitment to excellence, incredible camaraderie & teamwork, remarkable positive attitude, effective communication, excellent mentoring, exhibition of high standard of work ethics.
    • a. Eligibility
    • All Departments
    • b. Nomination Criteria
    • The nominee should fulfill any one of the following nomination criteria towards Special Recognition Award:
      1. Exhibit high adaptability, flexibility, agility and multitasking skills in smoothly adopting and successfully managing a new business model / process / strategy.
      2. Always advocate and provide support in achieving the objective of all organization wide activities by consistently exhibiting trust and respect to organizational values, internal and external stakeholders.
      3. Consistently foster incredible camaraderie, collaboration and teamwork in achieving any demanding, successful project/assignment.
      4. Highly energetic and enthusiastic person in the team who is always ready to help and responds to the team members queries in welcoming manner and is liked by most of the team member.
      5. Unswervingly being a positive and happy person on the floor with high energy who participates in all the team building activities, events, celebration.
      6. Remarkable clarity in relaying information, analysis of a situation thereby consistently managing effective communications in meeting/winning business objectives.
      7. Always being an inspirational mentor, excellent support, motivator, guide and a leader in an incident / project / assignment.
      8. Always taking out time to be a dedicated and supportive buddy and significantly contribute towards making the new joiners as integral part of the organization.
      9. Exceeding the quantitative KRA and target benchmarks.

3. SELECTION Procedure

The selection procedure for all the award categories is as follows:

  1. The nomination(s) for all the categories will open every year in March/April.
  2. The Organization/Division/Department Head will nominate their department, team, projects, team members or special workforce on the basis of the fulfilment of the nomination criteria in the applicable category. The nominations are to be filled and submitted to HR as per the nomination sheet provided for the respective nomination category accordingly.
  3. A person can be nominated under more than one category but may be awarded under the one most suitable category.
  4. The submitted nomination(s) should be enclosed with the supporting document(s) or critical incident(s) as evidence towards fulfilment of the eligibility.
  5. The Award Committee comprises of:
    1. Division Heads
    2. HR Head
  6. The Award Committee will review, qualify and approve the nomination on the fulfillment of the following criteria:
    1. Completeness and validation of nomination criteria against applicable metrics / critical incidents of the achievement(s) listed.
    2. Evidence(s) or Supporting Document(s) to endorse the achievement(s).
    3. A general acceptability and good feedback of the candidate in the working department.
  7. The Awards Committee will present the considered cases and the final list to Management.

4. declaration of FELICitation

The winners of Damco Awards will be felicitated and rewarded annually in May.

5. Deviation & Waivers

Any deviation in the policy or exception in the procedure will require the approval of the Managing Director or CEO. All deviations will be routed through HR Head of the company.

6. Management Discretion

The Management reserves the right to modify/amend the policy from time to time in part or full or discontinue the policy without assigning any reason. These policy guidelines supersede all earlier guidelines.
